Very nice place… Food was so good, we were in about 6:45pm, closing time was at 8:00pm.. Staff were very welcoming, our waitress was such a nice gal. We had the Fire Roasted Veg Soup, which by the sound of the name was going to be super spicy. We were skeptical but our waitress right away offered to get us a sample so we could try it first.. It ended up being so YUMMY! Serving size was HUGE, we ordered a Bowl of soup which was way more than we could eat and we also had the House Salad which was also AMAZING!!! If I lived near Houston Lake, I’d be in every night for their House Salad… Very nice place and all the food that came out of the kitchen looked amazing… 11 outta 10 great in all categories… Would recommend and would go back…

Best breakfast around! We've been coming here for so many years. The cinnamon swirl pancakes, home made cinnamon bread and sausage gravy are the best! Service is always great. My only complaint is they like to keep it really cold. So bring a coat.

Great service and food. Always very busy for breakfast. I had an omelet made to order and it was perfect. They also have Dearborn ham. Hashbrowns were prepared perfectly. Golden and crispy. The over easy eggs were prepared as over easy. Many restaurants over cook them. Bacon was cooked to perfection.

We were seated right away and the woman who sat us took our order too. She was SO nice! Very bubbly, very helpful, very sweet. We got mozzarella sticks and hush puppies for appetizers. Unfortunately there were only 5 mozzarella sticks and we have a family of 6, so the kids had to have half a stick, which was disappointing. Usually you get 6 at least. They were yummy and the hush puppies you got about 10-15 little balls. They were also very good. I ordered a club sandwich, which was HUGE. There was no way I could finish it, and ended up taking half home. My husband got the Rueben and he said the same thing, it was enormous, and he took half home. My older sons got cheeseburgers and my littles got pancakes and french toast. The server was so nice and subbed a couple things for my picky daughter without question. While we were sitting there the staff seemed to know most of the patrons and I love that. We’ll be back for sure.

This place was a true find! Cute little place! While Visiting from NEPA, doing some ORV riding, we stopped here for lunch. Our waitress, Kathy, was the absolute BEST! Our food was off the hook! I highly recommend if you're in the area! Try the pineapple upside down cake pancakes. You will not be disappointed! It's like fricken dessert! And their biscuits and gravy... ?!? Just like your grandma used to make. If I could give more stars, I would.

Don't judge a book by its cover! The restaurant doesn't look great inside, BUT DANG the food is really good! Service was also very nice. I don't think I'll pass up Sloppy Joe day ever again. It was the best Joe I've ever had, and their fries are the best.

Stopped in at this restaurant on our way through Houghton as it looked like a good family style place. Interior is decorated very nicely in a homestyle country theme with lots of wood, and it’s nicely decorated right now for Christmas. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were happy. I had the broasted chicken dinner, and the perch is what my wife had. Both meals were very delicious.
